A Texas company looking to build a 1,500-acre, 175-megawatt solar power project in Greene County has applied for a permit.
On Friday, April 16, Vesper Energy of Houston, Tx., submitted its 136-page application, with 1,055 pages of additional figures and appendices, to the Ohio Power Siting Board, a state office with the authority to approve or deny the project.
Since 2017, the company, once part of the Australian-owned Lendlease, has been seeking leases and preparing studies in the project area, located just southeast of Yellow Springs in portions of Miami Township, Xenia Township and Cedarville Township. The company now has 43-year leases on close to 1,300 acres from 17 landowners.

44 Pa. counties have substantial spread of COVID-19 as positive test rate drops again PennLive.com 2 days ago Ron Southwick, pennlive.com
Fewer counties are showing high transmission of COVID-19 and the percentage of positive tests is dropping, Gov. Tom Wolf’s administration said Thursday.
Across Pennsylvania, 44 of the state’s 67 counties are seeing substantial transmission of the coronavirus, according to the Wolf administration. That’s a drop of nine counties from the previous week, when 53 counties had substantial transmission of COVID-19.
The percentage of positive COVID-19 tests dropped to 7.6% for the week of April 23-29, down a full percentage point from the previous week. The positive test rate was 9.6% two weeks ago. The rate had been rising steadily since late March, although it remained well below the peak of 16% in December.
One-Question Hoops Mailbag: Dickinson Daggers?

I started to do a full mailbag and ended up going long on what s become the pressing question of the offseason since a certain video hit the interwebs:
Hey Ace,
That video of Hunter draining threes has been going around and I’ve played enough basketball to know the difference between a gym shoot around and a live game with a man in your face. Is there any reason (analytical or otherwise) to think Dickinson can add a three point shot to his game? He’s a decent FT shooter, but I’m not familiar enough with his high school career to know if this is a realistic hope or a fever dream.
